A popular Indian dish, this particular recipe gets its richness from its cream base.
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp ghee
- 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
- 1 tsp green chilli paste
- 1/2 cup tomato puree
- 1/4 cup readymade tomato puree
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1 cup soaked whole urad
- 1/4 cup soaked kidney beans
- Salt to taste
- 4 cups water
- 1 tsp garam masala
- 2 tsp kasuri methi
- 1/4 cup cream
- Ginger juliennes
- Coriander sprig
Preparations
- Switch on the Usha Electric Pressure Cooker and turn the knob to 5 min.
- Heat some ghee in it. Add ginger-garlic paste, green chilli paste and sauté. Add readymade tomato puree, fresh tomato puree, cumin powder, coriander powder and cook.
- Add soaked whole urad, kidney beans, salt, water and mix well.
- Close lid of the Electric pressure cooker and turn the knob to Dal mode. Once the process is complete the knob will reset itself to the Keep Warm mode.
- Open the lid. Add garam masala, kasuri methi and mix. Blend the dal with Usha Hand Blender. Add cream and mix.
- Serve hot and garnish with some cream, ginger juliennes and coriander leaves.
