Ingredients
- 2 tbsp Ghee
- 2 Bay Leaves
- 1 inch Cinnamon
- 3 Cardamom
- 3 Cloves
- 2 Black Peppercorn
- 3 Green Chillies
- 1 Onion
- 1 tsp Ginger Garlic Paste
- 1/4 tsp Turmeric Powder
- Salt to taste
- 1 cup Rice
- 1/2 cup Masoor Dal
- 3 cups Water
- 1/2 bunch Coriander Leaves
- 1/2 bunch Mint Leaves
- Coriander Sprig
Preparations
- Turn the knob of the Usha Electric Pressure Cooker to the rice mode.
- Heat ghee in the cooker. Add bay leaves, cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, black peppercorn, green chilli and cook. Then add onions, ginger garlic paste and sauté. Add turmeric powder, salt and mix.
- Add soaked rice, masoor dal, water, coriander leaves, mint leaves and give it a quick stir. Cover the cooker with the lid. Cook the rice till the knob resets into keep warm mode.
- Garnish with a coriander sprig.
