Mac N Cheese
Ingredients
- 1 cup macaroni cooked (salt added while boiling)
- 100 ml BÉCHAMEL sauce (white sauce )
- Cheddar cheese (as required)
- Breadcrumbs (as required)
Preparations
- In a well-greased baking casserole, mix the cooked macaroni and white sauce.
- Spread breadcrumbs and grated cheese evenly on top of the mixture
- select manual 180 for 12 minutes or until the the cheese melts and the breadcrumbs are light golden .
for making béchamel sauce.
- In a saucepan add 1 tbsp butter. Allow it to melt on low heat.
- Add flour 1 tep (maida). Stir it until light golden.
- Add milk (100 to 150 ml )slowly stir until the sauce starts to thicken
- add 2 tbsp cheddar cheese. (Optional )Continuously keep mixing to make a silky sauce season as required.( Make sure there are no lumps)
Cooking tip
Dress the Mac N Cheese with fresh herbs if required
