Ingredients
- 300 gms Kingfish
- 1 large Onion, sliced
- 3-4 Green Chilli slits
- 12–15 Curry Leaves
- 1/2 tsp Pepper Powder
- ¼ tbsp Turmeric Powder
- 1 inch Ginger (chopped finely)
- 4 Garlic cloves (finely chopped )
- ¼ tbsp Garam Masala
- Lime juice - half of a lemon
- 1 cup Coconut Milk
- 10-12 cubes of Pineapple
- Salt
- Coconut oil
For Marination
- ¼ tbs Turmeric Powder
- ¼ tbs Pepper Powder
- 1 tbsp Lemon Juice
- Salt to taste
Preparations
- In a mixing bowl add pineapple cubes, salt, pepper, turmeric powder, lemon juice and kingfish pieces and mix them well. Heat coconut oil in a pan. Cook the fish evenly on both sides.
- In another pan heat coconut oil. Add garlic, ginger and mix well. Now add curry leaves, green chillies, salt and onion; and cook.
- Add turmeric powder, garam masala, cooked fish, marinated pineapple cubes, coconut milk, and lemon juice. Mix them well.
- Serve hot with Appams.
Lightly frying the pineapples before adding them to the moili is also an option.
