Sprouted moong soup

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sprouted moong
  • 3 cups water
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tbsp coriander powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 5-6 baby spinach leaves
  • 1 tsp chilli oil

  • Start by adding sprouted moong and water into the grinder jar of the Usha Trienergy+ . Grind the ingredients to make a smooth paste.
  • Heat oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds, the moong paste and mix them well. Now add red chilli powder, coriander powder and salt to taste. Cook the mixture for about 2-3 minutes. Now add the water and keep stirring continuously. Ensure that no lumps are formed. 
  • Boil the soup for a couple of minutes and then add baby spinach leaves to it. Keep stirring and cook for another minute.
  • Serve hot and garnish with some chilli oil.
     
Cooking tip

For smoother texture, add 1 tbsp of masoor dal
